What does the £6,000 Free Gift Aid allowance mean for my charity?

From 1 January 2026, every charity on the free plan will receive an annual Gift Aid processing allowance of £6,000 at no cost, specifically for the Gift Aid via platforms solution.

This allowance is only applicable to Gift Aid processed through donation platforms using Swiftaid, starting from 1 January, and will renew in April 2026 at the end of the tax year.

Please note: Any Gift Aid processed or claimed before 1 January will not count towards the £6,000 allowance.

Swiftaid will automatically submit your free annual Gift Aid via platforms claim after 5 April.
