The Countryside Alliance is a membership charity that promotes and protects the rural way of life. We campaign on issues affecting the countryside, from wildlife management and sustainable food production to access, shooting, fishing, and broader rural communities.
Main challenges in uncovering Gift Aid
Our biggest challenges have been data gaps from older records, changes in donor circumstances over time, and the complexity of matching historic donations to eligible declarations.
What was your experience like using the Gift Aid Finder?
The tool was straightforward to use and made a significant difference by highlighting opportunities we would otherwise have missed. Our only concern was making sure the data output aligned correctly with our CRM and HMRC submission process, which we managed by working closely with our provider.
How much extra Gift Aid we uncovered
Through the Hunt we identified just over £60,000 in additional Gift Aid across memberships and donations.
What difference will this income make to your charity?
This additional income strengthens our ability to campaign effectively on behalf of rural communities, fund education programmes such as Fishing for Schools, and ensure we can protect members’ interests at national and devolved levels.
